Professional Background
I received both my Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and my Master of Social Work from Eastern Washington University, completing my graduate degree in 2021 with a minor in Disability Studies. My clinical foundation has been shaped by years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and families across a variety of settings.
I began my work in social services with children in group home environments and later in outpatient care, supporting youth with emotional, behavioral, and trauma-related needs. During my Bachelor’s program, I completed my internship at the RISE Behavioral Health Program at Providence Holy Family Hospital in Spokane, Washington, where I worked closely with youth and adults navigating complex trauma.
For my Master's training, I interned with the Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF), focusing on family reunification and supporting parents and caregivers in crisis. I continued this work for two years post-graduation, deepening my understanding of systemic barriers, intergenerational trauma, and the resilience of families navigating overwhelming circumstances.
I completed my clinical supervision and licensure hours at a community mental health agency, providing therapy to individuals in reentry and transitional housing programs—many of whom were struggling with severe trauma, chronic stress, and instability. Through this work, I developed a strong foundation in trauma-informed, attachment-based, and culturally responsive care.
As a BIPOC clinician, I hold space for the layered realities of culture, identity, and belonging. These experiences have shaped the heart of my practice.
My Therapeutic Approach
My approach is integrative, relational, and centered on helping you feel safe in your body, your emotions, and your story. I use evidence-based methods of EMDR, CBT, and DBT alongside polyvagal-informed techniques, somatic awareness, and a deep emphasis on self-compassion and nonjudgment. Together, these approaches help you gently process trauma, understand your patterns, regulate your nervous system, and build healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.
Therapeutic Modalities
I use a blend of evidence-based and holistic approaches to support deep, sustainable healing:
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
Helps reprocess painful or traumatic memories so they feel less overwhelming and no longer dictate your emotional responses.CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)
Builds awareness of unhelpful thought patterns and supports healthier, more grounded ways of interpreting and responding to stress.DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy)
Offers skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and improving relationships.Polyvagal-Informed Techniques
Helps regulate your nervous system, increase internal safety, and understand how your body responds to stress or perceived threat.Somatic Awareness
Supports you in reconnecting with your body, releasing tension, and tuning into sensations that hold emotional or trauma-related information.Self-Compassion Practices
Encourages a kinder, more supportive inner relationship, particularly for those who carry shame, self-blame, or harsh self-criticism.Nonjudgmental, Trauma-Informed Care
Your experiences, parts, and emotions are welcomed with compassion and curiosity. We move at your pace, honoring your boundaries and lived reality.
